Weeding is Just Another Form of Harvesting

I dug these dandelion roots out of some potted plants I’ll be brining inside soon. I will dry the roots for tea.

Heh, this is what I was doing about a month ago. Today, I wild-harvested yarrow, scouring rush (field horsetails), blackberry leaf and cane, wild grapevine, crab apples, and lily of the valley berries (to plant before winter hits).

  I had some yarrow a couple years ago but I haven’t been able to find any in the wild yet… I need to get into the forest this weekend and see what there is to see. 😉
