Ok, this is the plant and company my father ordered it from: http://www.jungseed.com/dp.asp?pID=12261&c=433&p=Sochi+Tea+Plant I’ve never heard of sochi tea before, and I didn’t know any varieties were grown in Russia! It’s Camellia sinensis .

My father didn’t bring the information with him so I’m waiting to learn more about it. :p
