Occupy Main Street

I find Black Friday at big box stores abhor ant. The greed, the stress, the pressure for employees to cut or eliminate time with family during a major family-related holiday because of extended shopping hours. I stayed in this morning but decided to go to Clinton, NY with my mum this afternoon. It’s a small college town full of independent shops. We went to a store comprised of work from local artisans where I found this beautiful star made by a tin smith. It will top my wee Solstice tree. I also bought a tin box. I always need containers for spell items.

Moral of the story: shop local when you can and support your area’s farmers and artisans. It’s important for the economy, the environment, and society. Way more Druidic than Walmart and whatnot.

I love me some waning moon over the cemetery. #moon #cemetery #graveyard #nightowl
    Time for some belly dance practice with @thedaturaonline! #bellydance #selfcare #discipline #workout
I had a girls’ day out with my daughter today. We spent it in Clayton. Although it was chilly, we always enjoy time at the river. We enjoyed seeing the frozen St. Lawrence, a hairy snow spirit peeking out of the ice, and even some kite skiing! There’s always something to see on the river. As for us, we went to a hair salon with a fantastic view, then did lunch looking fabulous. #stlawrenceriver #nny #winter #1000islands
    Lunch date with my husband!
It’s cold and very, very white outside. I know it can start to exhaust us this time of year, but I appreciate the reminders of life all around. Green from the conifers, sunlight through pine boughs, and adorable footprints on the porch. Embrace each day’s gifts. Slow down and appreciate them when you can. #gratitude #winter #nature #naturespirits #druidry #druidsofinstagram
Lovely dried geranium petals from our windowsill. These will make pretty offerings. #druidsofinstagram #plants
